Welcome to The Crypto Rabbit Hole community! I started this site in May 2021 with one goal - to provide educational materials and resources for kids my age (high school) in an effort to help spread financial literacy as it relates to both traditional money and digital assets (cryptocurrency). Even though I’m only in high school, and I still have a ton to learn, I truly believe that crypto has a huge role to play in our digital monetary future. We will dive into questions like: what is money? why was Bitcoin invented and what does it represent? what is a blockchain? how are projects like Ethereum different than Bitcoin? what purpose do they serve? what are NFT’s and what is DeFi? These are all fairly complicated topics and we will try to make crypto easier to understand. I’m here to provide resources and educate other young people like myself about this amazing new asset class. After reading about Bitcoin, Ethereum and NFT’s, I came to the conclusion that we are witnessing the birth of an entirely new asset class in slow motion. I decided to take the initiative to provide these resources due to the fact that financial literacy isn’t really taught in schools - it’s something you have to seek out. The more I spoke to my friends about money and digital assets, I realized that others my age had no clue about what money truly is and what crypto specifically represents.
